Studio Policy
The
goal of this studio is to: provide
a diverse learning experience with quality instruction in a professional
atmosphere with guidelines subject to individual growth. Students will come to
lessons prepared. With practice comes increased enjoyment and progress!
Tuition & Business
policies
--
Tuition is currently $75 for 30-minute lessons, $110 for 45-minute
lessons, and $150 for hourly lessons. Monthly
tuition is the same every calendar month except during summer.
Family rates are also available for 2+ family members.

Federal holidays and winter/spring breaks are paid and observed.
Dates are in each quarterly newsletter.

Refunds are not given. Prorations due to student absence are given only
during July and August.
Attendance
--
Make-up lessons are not offered except in cases of extreme illness, area
road closures/dangerous driving conditions, or family emergency. Make-ups
will automatically occur if I miss a lesson (unless absence is scheduled in the
newsletter). There is no adjustment for late arrival to scheduled lessons.
Please arrive on time.
-- It is difficult to teach a student who is frequently absent or unprepared. Inconsistent attendance and/or practice usually indicate a lack of scheduled practice time, interest or motivation. Students routinely absent or unprepared are subject to probationary status or termination. Parent or guardian involvement and interest is key to the young student’s musical success.

Students are expected to
participate in all scheduled studio performances and encouraged to participate
in festivals and performances presented by the local music association. Please let me know well in advance if the
student must be absent from a scheduled performance. Students are also
encouraged to participate in talent shows and /or other performances in their
school, church, home (a family music night), or community.
Purchase of Music
--
Students are welcome to purchase music they are interested in learning as
long as it does not interfere with selected literature.
Students are expected to purchase assigned music.
